Wendy Adler, M.E.D., LSLS Cert. AVEd
As the Principal of Child’s Voice, Wendy is a part of nearly everything. She works closely with the teachers, runs IEP meetings, collaborates with school districts, and joins forces with the leadership team to help the Child’s Voice Program grow!
Wendy first heard about Child’s Voice after a visit from Jean Moog to the Clarke School where Wendy was student teaching as part of her Master’s Degree. She started shortly after in August 1998. She is also an active member of Illinois Supervisors of Programs for Deaf/Hard of Hearing Individuals (ISHI), the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell), and the VP of Education at Congregation Beth Shalom.
She and her husband Geoff currently live in Aurora. They have three children, Jacob, Elana and Grace, and five pets – two dogs, two cats and one fish. Recently, Jacob was accepted to be a counselor-in-training at a camp for Jewish youth and Elana was accepted into the Tri-M Music Honors Society. Jacob and Elana are active in the Oswego East High School marching band. Grace is preparing for her Bot Mitzvah. Wendy loves spending time with her family, both immediate and extended.
Wendy loves her job, the kids, and being a part of Child’s Voice!
