The Child’s Voice family has continued to grow, with three new staff members joining the team in 2018. Additionally, the Audiology Center has welcomed a new extern for the year. Child’s Voice staff includes teachers of the deaf, speech language pathologists, and audiologists focused on serving children with hearing loss.

Child’s Voice helps children with hearing loss learn to listen and speak. Students wear hearing aids and/or cochlear implants and programs use a child-focused, research-based curriculum, all with the end goal of transitioning graduates back to their neighborhood schools. This year, Child’s Voice has supported nearly 400 children and their families. Students range in age from just a few days old through the age of 8.

The new team members at Child’s Voice are:

Haley is a Primary I (ages 3-5) teacher with the Child’s Voice School Program. She is a graduate of Illinois State University and prior to coming to Child’s Voice worked at Desert Voices, a listening and spoken language program in Arizona.
